US100 (Nasdaq 100) is a capitalization-weighted index comprised of the 100 largest companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. It includes foreign-based companies, but not financial companies. The constituents of the Nasdaq 100 are comprised of high-profile, high-liquidity stocks. Since January 31st of 1985, it is calculated and updated every 15 seconds. Its constituents are reviewed and replaced every year in December (more if necessary). When replacing listings, the market cap at the end of October or November is used. The Nasdaq 100 measures the performance of major global corporations, making it a must-watch index for traders worldwide.
